A State-run Firm BHEL recently win a tender to build a $1.6 billion power plant in Bangladesh beating a Chinese firm after a years of negotiation. With this winning BHEL sign contract to build a 1,320-megawatt (MW) thermal power station in Bangladesh on February 28. Also BHEL plans to enter solar industry announcing its plans for a 600 MW Solar Module Factory.
